Wind Ensemble and Senior Jazz Ensemble Auditions

Auditions for both the Wind Ensemble and Senior Jazz Ensemble will begin next week.  Here is how the process works.

Wind Ensemble

Students are enrolled in the Repertoire Course (AMR3M/4M), any student that has taken a Grade 10 Music course or higher, or students that are previous members DO NOT have to audition for a spot.  All other students must audition. This is a nationally ranked band and the audition process is to ensure that those students will be able to play at the same level as the ensemble.

To audition please sign up for a time on the form hanging outside of room 166.  There will be music hanging beside the form sorted by instrument that you will be expected to prepare and play for Mr. Clarke.

Auditions will take place Thursday, Sept. 15 and Friday, Sept. 16 after school

Sr. Jazz Ensemble

This ensemble only auditions for spots as they become available and previous members do not need to audition.  Whether the student auditioning plays in the Wind Ensemble, is enrolled in a senior Music course, and has been a previous member of the Jr. Jazz Ensemble will all be considered.

This year we are auditioning for:

TROMBONE 1, TENOR SAX 1, PIANO

Auditions will be held on Wed., Sept. 14 after school and audition music is hanging beside the signup sheet outside of room 166.
